First prepare your hosting and go to admin page or cpanel. In this case I used cpanel. Create database on MySQL database with database name=username_blog, username=username_admin, password is up to you. Don’t forget to click create database and create user to submit. Then add user to database and make Assign Privileges for user. Finish?
Now download WordPress 2.5.1 in here. Extract it and upload to your ftp address (Example: ftp://yourdomain.com/), open WordPress 2.5.1 folder and copy all files to your ftp address. Usually you must copy on public_html folder. Ask your hosting customer service to k about that. Finish?
Go to your favorite web browser and doing the installation step below..
1. go to http://username.gigacities.net/wp-admin/install.php. You’ll get error message, but don’t worry, it’s mean you must create the configuration file first.
2. Click on “Create a Configuration File” to create configuration file automatically. Then you’ll get the page below.
3. Click on “Let’s go!”. Then you’ll get page below.
4. Fill the form with your database setting. For example: database name = username_blog, username = username_admin, password=up to you, keep localhost in database host and wp_ in table prefix. You must fill correct and carefully then click on “submit”. If you success, you’ll see page below.
5. Click on “Run the install” and you’ll see page below.
6. Type your blog tittle and your email. Just keep check book under checked and click on “Install WordPress”. You’ll see page below.
7. Warning!! Keep your username and password. Make a note on it. After click on “Log In” you’ll never seen your password anymore. If you sure to log in, just click on it. Log in with your username and your password and you’ll see dashboard on admin pages.
